At Corpus Christi, we believe that a Catholic education helps every child reach their full potential, guiding their lives through the Spirit and presence of Christ, in service to God and others.
A Catholic education is a unique journey because it places all learning and teaching within a moral and faith-filled context. It both challenges and supports young people to grow in mind, body, and spirit, helping them to live out their faith in everyday life. The role of a Catholic school is to help everyone in the community recognise the inherent dignity and value of each person, created in the image of God.
Our school focuses on educating the whole child, rooted in Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church. As parents are the first and most important educators in faith, a strong partnership between home and school is essential in supporting our mission to form young people who live, love, and serve as disciples of Christ.
Supporting Catholic Life at Home
We recognise that families are children’s first teachers, and we work hard to build strong links between home, school and parish. Parents and carers are invited into school for class assemblies, and families are welcome to join us for Mass and other celebrations throughout the liturgical year. This helps families take an active role in their child’s faith journey. RE books will also be shared with parents during Parents’ Meetings.

The Wednesday Word
At Corpus Christi each family is sent a free copy of the Wednesday Word every week. This is sent out via email to all our families and can also be accessed by clicking here.
The Wednesday Word offers even the busiest parents a wonderful opportunity to spend just ten meaningful minutes with their children each week discussing the Gospel.
The Wednesday Word has been structured around the Sunday Gospel because research and experience show that Gospel values truly help family relationships to flourish. The Wednesday Word Family Time resource has been designed to be family-friendly, engaging, and enjoyable for all ages. It aims to support families in growing closer to one another while deepening faith and understanding of the Gospel message.
